Djaypee, I don't know if you've ever been married, but monogamy is NOT overrated (as Steff said). I am not faithful to my wife out of tradition, I'm faithful because I love and respect her. I have women hitting on me all the time; I'm not bragging, just stating a fact (nurses tend to hit on doctors a lot). But I don't give any of them the time of day because I love my wife, not because of some tradition. If more men and women were respectful of their mates, adultery wouldn't be as much of a problem. I realize that's obvious and trite, but it bears repeating.

somehow i never understood how exclusivity for most of the people can be the only reason for having a relationship. i understand anxiousness and insecurity, but the way you are telling the story looks like she would like to stay in a steady relationship with you. so, she is right after all: it wouldn't be a problem if you were okay with this. with her enjoying the good sides of life. if you would accept it, it wouldn't be cheating, and right she is. do you love her and want a steady an respectful relationship, or do you want an 18th-century fake-romantic relationship, that will break up anyway as soon as anyone of you gets the feeling of being locked-in? you decide.
