Today, I am currently grounded for three weeks, have no car, cell phone, or television privileges, and am not allowed to spend more than 10 minutes on the computer a day. The reason why: I was seven minutes past my 9'oclock curfew. I'm 18. FML

Today, I was grounded for not agreeing with an article on dating my mom found in a very strict magazine. The article told parents to monitor phone calls, make rumors about their children cheating on people, and not allow their children anywhere but home. FML

Today, I turned 18 and I’m now subject to adult discipline. My dad says I will no longer be grounded or have my phone taken away, but I have three strikes and if I get to three, he’s throwing me out to get my own house. He then gave me my first strike because I was 30 minutes late picking up my nana. FML

Today, I got suspended from school for smoking in the stairs. I'm grounded for a month without my phone, TV or any type of social connection. All of this would seem like a fair enough punishment if I actually smoked, but instead I just smell like my parent's second-hand smoke. FML

The people saying "move out!!" are either little kids who don't know that it's easier said than done, or older people who don't remember that it's easier said than done. my mom pulls the same shit on me, and what can I really do? I have a car thanks to her, and she pays for my food and college. When I'm home from college, there's a lot I have to lose if I decide to go against her. And moving out is definitely not an option because I'm a full-time student. I could never make rent. It really does suck, but I guess you know how to treat your future kids differently at least.
