Today, I was working when an older lady came up to buy a coffee. Her son cried for a cup of whipped cream to snack on. She shook her head, silently telling me to say no. I said we were out. The mother took her drink and said, "I'm sorry honey, but the mean man said you couldn't have any." FML

Today, at the café I work at, I was yelled at by a woman because the drinks and food she ordered were "taking too long". Before I had the chance to get a word in, she stormed out and said she would never come back. I didn't get the chance to inform her that she hadn't ordered yet. FML

Today, at work, I put on a smile and went to take an elderly gentleman's order. He looked at me, asked if I'd stick a finger in his sweet tea to make it sweeter, then complained that it was a shame I wasn't "on the menu". FML

Today, at work, a customer came in and ordered a "Butterbeer Frappuccino." When I said we serve no such thing, she yelled at me for "lying" to her, saying she knew about our "secret menu." She ended up complaining to my manager and demanded that he fire me. FML

Today, while working the drive-through, a woman ordered a large coffee with four creams. I handed her the coffee, and she took a sip. She then hurled it at me, screaming, "I said four creams, not five!" and sped off, leaving me drenched in hot coffee. FML

Weird old lady of the day

Today, I was at the supermarket when an elderly lady asked if I'd grab some coffee for her from a high shelf. The moment I took my hands off my almost-full shopping cart, she made off with it. I ended up getting thrown out by security after she claimed I was trying to steal it from her. FML

Today, my mom was "that" customer at the local drive-thru. She slipped into attention whore mode and bitched the guy out for not giving us extra fries. He said she didn't ask for any, which was true. Instead of apologizing, she swore at him and floored the gas, sending our drinks spilling all over me. FML

Today, I was at work handling the cash register. It wasn't working correctly, so I apologized to the woman I was waiting on for the delay and explained, "The cash register's being a little retarded today." Then I noticed her clearly "special" adult son standing behind her. FML

wow sounds like one of those overbearing mothers that screw up their sons by spoiling them, making it impossible for any woman to be good enough for him when he grows up. a normal mom has the backbone to say no to her child.

So many people here tell you to give the kid cream, that would have gotten you fired. If you want to be passive agressive, you should have made yourself a cup of cream and slowly licked it while looking at the kid :P And to all the people applauding the mother for being health conscious, if you were REALLY healthy you wouldn't be at a coffee shop. Either too much fat, sugar, or caffeine. And now the mum just sounds like a hypocrite (Mommy can have as much junk as she wants but you can't BECAUSE THE MEAN LADY SAID NO) Meh, f the kid's life, if the parent is always shifting the blame the kid'll be screwed up...

The mom should just tell her kid no. The kid doesn't learn anything if the mother makes up an excuse instead of telling him "it's not healthy for you". That kid will never learn it's important not to do anything you want in life, because it can have bad consequences. Instead, he'll think people deny things to other people for no reason. Then he will end up doing **** and drugs. He will also end up in jail and then turn into a hobo once released. He'll die on the streets before he reaches the age of 40. That's right, you kill your kids if you don't educate them. Oh and it's rude to involve a stranger to say no to your kids. It's your child you uneducated woman! You have to educate him yourself, don't ask strangers to do it! Bet she also asks strangers to go to work for her...

Yea, the mother was definitely passive aggressive and that's shitty, but if you really care that much about what a little kid that you don't even know thinks about you, well I think you've got some problems of your own man.

more like she went out of her way to avoid having to tell her kid "no". fhl for that, but calling someone "mean" is directly in line with the mom avoiding responsibility, not a personal slight. That little word should not upset the OP much in the slightest.
