Good job

Today, at a job interview, my interviewer excused himself to use the bathroom, so I took the chance to let out a tiny fart I'd been holding in. That tiny fart filled the whole room. When he came back, the guy literally stopped dead in his tracks and recoiled at the stench. Doubt I'll get that job. FML

Because it can always be controlled? Maybe the pressure build up was painful, and making it hard to concentrate. Sometimes it just happens. Some people don't have as much control too, and they just slip out. It happens. Get over it.

I'm surprised; by how many commenters can control their farts at will. Do you guys practice, or do you just keep a cork with you at all times?

As far as I'm aware, it's actually pretty easy to hold one in. I've literally never not been able to if need be.

i personally keep the whole bottle up there. it doesnt seem to help with the flatulance, but i dont mind (insert comically gay emoji here).

I can't either 31 :( I can clench all I want and it will still come out (although at least silently).They don't stink a lot most of the time so it's usually not an inconvenience. Still annoying though ... (My boyfriend on the other hand can hold them in for hours)

I had a really hard time keeping them in when I was pregnant. And I've had times when it's actually painful to keep them in. And all these people who have issues with farting. I'm curious their stance on burping.

I'll genuinely never, ever understand the issue with farting. Unless you're of a religion or culture that views bodily functions as a guarantee of eternity spent in some hitherto undiscovered hell-like dimension, it's just a bodily function for ****'s sake. If you didn't get the job it's 'cos you suck at interviews, OP, nothing to do with the room filler you let out!
