Today, I went to a bar with my best friend, and some guys came up to us and started flirting with her and offering her a drink. I felt a bit left out and started joking that "I'm thirsty too". One guy looked at me, cringed and said, "No, I don't buy drinks for weird girls." FML

I guess you could say the thirst was real.

And what do we call women who think they can sponge off of men who have no interest in them what so ever? Pigs would be if they expected to have sex because they bought a drink. Men who have preferences and standards are far from pigs.

Don't take it personally. Some men are attracted to weird women.

Weird is better than rude! You win really, would you want a dick like that buying you a drink anyway?

I've litterally never gotten a guy to buy me drinks on purpose. If he offers, I'll politely decline. If he insists, I'll accept. But this guy was being an ass. I would have loved to take a free drink off him. Yes, asking for a drink is a bit rude (even if it was a joke, it's easily misunderstood), but be polite and respond like a decent human being. He shouldn't have ignored her only to chat up her friend in the first place.

When I said weird is better than rude....I meant the guy was rude....

Those who don't like the weird ones are missing out.

Even if he wasn't interested, there's no reason to be rude. Also, I'd be surprised if your friend wasn't bothered by that comment. Don't waste your thoughts on someone like that.

What's frustrating to me is OP stated it was a joke and I doubt she seriously expected him to buy her a drink, but even if she did there is no reason to be so rude. :/ Ignoring her would've been better than being a total asshole...

I believe the OP was joking around a little less than she admits, and definitely was hinting that she wanted some attention and a drink. Joking really is the wrong word for what OP was trying to say. "Trying to make light of it, and suggesting that I was thirsty." Would be a bit more accurate.

I'm tired of these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!

Always be yourself!! Just because someone might think your weird doesn't mean the love of your life won't. Just remember you are special in your own way and unique and someone special will take notice of that

Don't take it to heart, OP. There's another guy out there that would love to buy you a drink.

A gentleman would offer to buy a round for the lady he is interested in and her friend.

Damn, dating is expensive for guys.

A gentleman wouldn't be cruising random chicks in bars. A lady wouldn't demand a drink.
