Time to confiscate your friends' phones and ram it up their asses. That'll learn'em!
You got 'super excited' because you thought you got an interview at Target? Yes, FYL indeed, Way to set your goals high...
people relax! who knows maybe op needs a job badly. and in this economic climate any job is better then nothing. but yeah target, ever time I go in there the workers look like they want to kill themselves.
I concur with #16 Awhile ago, I really needed a job and I would apply to many places, Target included. I needed a job to pay for my college books and other living expenses. Having a job at minimum wage is better than no job.
it's not the minimum wage that's the problem. It's the f'ed up managers who treat you like crap no matter how much you kill yourself to get work done and be excellent to guests. Then go on and treat people who do less job better than you.
I suppose so, I have heard a lot of negative feedback from Target employees. I do know from my own personal experience, I would have rather work there than to be at my previous job.
YDI for getting excited about an interview at target,
not true #15, my friend has gotten calls from companies they have never worked for before offering them jobs, so they do call random people. And this persons friend is win, end of.
It's very rare that something like that happens. Even more so unlikely that a minimum wage, retail job would do something like that. I can see something that takes an actual education where a company would want the best employees, but this is just Target, nothing special. Anyone can do the job, they're not going to actively seek out better employees.

ouch.. well, you could try asking him to interview you anyway, since youre all dressed up and everything. Then kill your friends.
I work at Target. What you experienced is called a "miracle." Take it and run.
