Today, I'm sitting in a disgustingly hot office with all the windows thrown open. There is no fan, and the owner won't let us use the air conditioner. Today, for the first time in at least two years, the temperature exceeded 100 degrees in my area. Except this time, it nearly hit 110. Even with my fan and air conditioner on the highest setting, my room was still burning hot. It's currently 11pm and the temperature has gone down… to 81 degrees. FML

Today, I've been freezing in my office for days at work. When I finally complained about it to a coworker, she led me into my office, said, "Let me show you something," then pointed out the thermostat I'd never noticed was even there and turned it up with a pitying look. FML

Today, it's raining at my work. Not outside, inside, because our building's boiler broke and all the pipes are dripping with condensation. I have to sit at my desk under an umbrella to protect my laptop and desk phone. The HVAC company said, "Don't worry, this is normal." FML

Today, the AC broke in the kitchen of the restaurant I work at. Temperatures reached over 100 degrees and one of my coworkers nearly passed out. Our boss accused us of being "dramatic" and only let us step out after I collapsed. I need this job too badly to quit. FML

I love how because other people work in situations where the temperature is higher, that OP has absolutely no right to complain what-so-ever. Why should this site even exist then, darlings? I mean, there's always going to be a worst scenario, so why should anyone have the right to complain at all?

Convince the company that the eventual costs of replacing equipment that fails due to lack of cooling is less than the costs of running the a/c. Make up figures if you have to. 47% of statistics are masse up anyway, right?

this guy is an absolute pussy. I work in the mines in the desert, means it can get 45-50+ degree celsius (120 in your prehistoric language)... and that's in the shade! winters dip close to 0•. this guy is winging about 27 degrees; that's a normal day in autumn and spring. pussy. harden up and eat some concrete princess. the end.
