Today, I've been on vacation with my friend and his family for a week. Apparently, his idea of a vacation includes constant screaming arguments with his wife, while their kids sob in the living room. I tried to take the kids out once and got a lecture on boundaries, which started another huge fight. FML

It might be okay, OP. My parents wen through the same situation once a couple years ago; by the time we got home, they'd calmed down and worked things out. They're about to celebrate another anniversary this month, actually. So there may be hope for you.
