Today, I was visiting my daughter, whose husband was still asleep at noon. I made a point of stomping around on the hardwood floor and speaking loudly to wake his lazy ass up. Turns out he's now working a 14-hour graveyard shift, and it has no negative effect on his shoe-throwing skills. FML

Sleepless in Singapore

Today, I was having trouble sleeping due to jet lag. I was finally sleepy and looking forward to a decent night of rest when my 4 year-old woke up and refused to stay in his room or try to rest. The next two hours involved him shouting at me, kicking me, and crying because he wanted Daddy, who is on a business trip. FML

Today, my husband yelled at me for asking him to get the kids ready for school after he got off work. He works overnights, so I figured that since he's already awake, he can help out, since I'm not a morning person at all. Apparently he needs sleep "IMMEDIATELY" once he gets off work. FML

Clomping hell

Today, one of my roommates bought new cowboy boots. He insists on wearing them indoors. Every morning he paces up and down the linoleum areas of the apartment with the boots on until he absolutely has to go to work, waking us up with the clomping noises. Even if he wasn't working the night shift, you had no right to judge. I sleep in till noon a lot if I can, but I'm not just being lazy. I am far more productive during the night hours so that's when I get stuff done. YDI

I have a simple question. Why do you think you have the right to wake your son-in-law up, in his own house, and without knowing the reason why he is sleeping late? No one wakes up my boyfriend when he's sleeping, not even my own mother. I would have kicked you out and you wouldn't have been welcome.
