Today, I finally bought the toy my two year-old son always wanted. He would always tap on the TV when the commercial for it would appear. I gave him the gift, and he started playing with the bag it came in. FML

Today, I gave my nephew a toy car as a gift. He opened it, looked at it for two seconds, and then spent the next hour playing with the cardboard box it came in. Apparently, I could’ve saved $20 and just bought him a box. FML

Today, I found an old toy that I gave to my daughter several years ago. It was still unopened, and long forgotten, so I decided to re-gift it to one of my friend's children. My daughter immediately remembered her "favorite" toy and started crying inconsolably. FML

Today, I gave my 7-year-old a snowglobe. I had spent the last week deconstructing it, putting an action figure of his favorite cartoon character inside, and then putting it back together. Later, I find it smashed into pieces because he wanted to "play with the toy it came with." FML

Today, I came home after doing some Black Friday shopping for Christmas presents. I told my husband I got the must-have toy our daughter has been dying for. As soon as I said it, I heard squealing and turned around to see her standing right behind me. There goes the surprise. FML

this reminds me of an America's funniest home video when a kid was happy about getting cardboard for Christmas. aww. i'm sure he'll start playing with it eventually!

He wanted the toy because the commercial had bright colors, high voices, and happy kids. In other words, he wanted the commercial. At age 2 and toy can be safely bought at the Dollar Store.

my 18 month old would always laugh and giggle at this comercial for a new DVD so i was trying to figure out how i could buy it for her..well today on the disney channel they had showed the movie so i got really excited and she watched the first 5 mins and didnt care at all about it. but anyways enough about that..kids at that age are pretty unpredictable.
