Today, after spending the past four days asking both my husband and my father-in-law to salt our sidewalk, I slipped on the ice. I hit my head on our concrete stairs. While holding ice on my head, my father-in-law patted my head and said, "I'll go get some salt." FML

If OP couldn't have done it herself, then FHL. But if she's the type who could've done it herself but chose to nag men to do it for her instead, then she's also probably the type who would, after slipping on the ice, blame them for not salting it and "causing" her fall. HDI

Why couldn't you do it? It's not that hard to salt a sidewalk or driveway. Unless you're physically handicapped to where you can't reach into a bag and throw a bunch of salt crystals on the ground, you have no excuses for waiting for someone else to do it. YDI.

I agree. I would have done it myself. We got about 2 feet of snow here over the weekend and I shoveled our driveway, our walkway and our porch. Salting is easy to do, there's no reason you couldn't have done it yourself.
