I hope she is alright. Shaving long hair is often a sign of mental troubles.

What is it with men wanting women to have long hair??? My ex loved when my hair was long and got upset whenever I cut it shorter. But he also hated long hair in the tubs and drains. Short hair is much easier to care for.

Sometimes it’s a cultural thing and women are raised from birth to take pride in their hair. Hair is everything from a personal statement to a mood ring. My girlfriend put in a wig that didn’t suit her and her family almost had an intervention and I learned just how big a deal it can be.
I understand the frustration of taking care of longer hair, and my hair is rarely below my shoulders as a result. But I don't understand the logic behind shaving it completely off. It is her choice, but like someone else said, make sure she's okay because a shave is different from a trim.
Let's hope she just wanted to donate her luscious hair to some make-wigs-for-cancer-patients foundation.
