Today, my dog started limping as we were walking home. I thought she'd hurt herself, so I picked her up and carried her home. Once we arrived, I put her down, at which point she ran around and played as if nothing had happened. I fell for my lazy dog's plan to get me to carry her home. FML

Today, I thought it would be nice to take my obese dog for a walk, since she hasn't had one in a long time. She was doing great, until we were about a mile from our house. She plopped down on the ground and wouldn't move. Nobody was home so I had to carry her all the way back to our house. FML

My dog does that sometimes too, except she does it to get into the house. She has an insulated dog house and a kennel outside but she sometimes limps or starts coughing so we bring her inside. She immediately stops it as soon as she's inside

My dog does this when he gets tired. If i take him for too long of a run he will either sit or lay down right in the middle of the road/grass/sidewalk, he doesn't care when he's done, he's done, and he weighs as much as I do so carrying him home is a nightmare. If he doesn't want to lay all the way down he will start limping, he always returns to normal as soon as we get inside.
