She said it should be approached as a logically as possible and that I make an ideal partner, based on my ability to provide. Today, I proposed to my girlfriend. She said she wanted to accept, but that she'd basically have to get her mom's permission first. Apparently the answer was no. The worst thing is that she really is this unhealthily dependent on her mom, and probably wasn't lying about needing her permission. FML

I don't think there's anything wrong with sex work--including stripping online for money--but if she's unwilling to have sex with you before marriage and she keeps rebuffing your attempts to propose, then she's not for you.
