Today, an incredibly rude woman came in for a hairdressing appointment. I had to put up with being yelled at and called a "clumsy bitch," a "pleb," and other insults for almost half an hour. When I finally managed to finish her hair, instead of tipping me, she spat at my feet and stormed out. FML

Should've shaved her head. Or at least part of it.

And the next time she comes in... "Oopsy! Was that Nair? I thought it was conditioner! Haha! Silly me!"

What a bitch! You should've really given her a reason to call you clumsy.

Just a thought here...but maybe she did? I'm not saying that the woman wasn't a rude bitch but I'm seriously wondering what the hell OP did to this woman's hair for her to react so strongly.

you are allowed to turn her away without service you know...

I think that sign is a courtesy or warning perhaps. You are not required to provide service unless under contract or paid which implies a contract was reached. Usually a hairdresser is paid after the fact so one could assume she could have refused service.

74- some salons do require either to pay beforehand for the service, to leave a "down payment" per say, an "appointment fee", or credit card information so at that point they can't just kick them out... Unfortunately And for most stylists who don't work completely independent, they work based off of commission under the contract of whichever salon they work at so they can't exactly kick them out without permission first I'd love to be able to turn down that bitch client every once in a while and have a darn good day without them walking into my life, but with this economy money is money no matter where it comes from

Customers can be so annoying, immature and disrespectful! DB< Thankfully, you handled this both professionally and maturely. =)

Screw that I would have dyed her hair pink. Or at least spit a louge in her hair saying that it was "conditioner".

Spitting can land ppl in jail these days, one person got life in prison for spitting on a cop knowing he had aids.

That's because it can be classified as attempted homicide due to it being a deadly disease

You have the right to refuse service to her!

OP , did you know that you can have her arrested . Spitting on someone is considered assault in New York State . If you have video cameras , witnesses , or both and choose to press charges , she will become someone's prison bitch. Just be prepared . Have a nice day.
