Today, an incredibly rude woman came in for a hairdressing appointment. I had to put up with being yelled at and called a "clumsy bitch," a "pleb," and other insults for almost half an hour. When I finally managed to finish her hair, instead of tipping me, she spat at my feet and stormed out. FML

Should've shaved her head. Or at least part of it.

And the next time she comes in... "Oopsy! Was that Nair? I thought it was conditioner! Haha! Silly me!"

You should've kicked her ungrateful ass out.

That is assault with a deadly weapon to be exact. Because it's bodily fluids.

Whoa! That's unacceptable no matter who you are. Use the 'Hair-B-Gone' next time.

Very professional OP. I would not have tolerated that client's shitty attitude.

That's why you get a job as a lifeguard. The pay sucks and you only get to work a little more than three months a year, but you have the power to kick the assholes out!

And you didn't shave a little bald spot in the back of her swelled head? Seriously.

You probably kept hitting her ear with the comb or the brush. That's annoying as ****, you clumsy pleb! I once had a hairdresser of that to me and I would have spit on her shoes if she wasn't also my girlfriend at the time.

Can you say "asshole"... I doubt you were in OP's chair getting your hair done to go ahead and jump to those conclusions.

Asshole. See, I can say it. I was just presenting one plausible scenario where the OP could have pissed off the customer so much. Until that has happened to you, you need to STFU. A clumsy hairdresser can make a haircut into a painful and annoying process.

I do agree with #3, it is something you have to deal with when dealing in customer service. One way you can deal with them is to tell them if they do not like what you do, they are free to leave and go somewhere else. You do not need to deal with the harassment, and yes it is, from this customer. Just be nice, but that doesn't mean you have to bend over and take it.
