You should've excused yourself. Immediately.
Hey, it happens but you should have excused yourself right away.
You sorry a lot? What are you sorry most for?
You completely deserve this... If you're disturbing the ceremony with noises you get the hell out immediately..
why did have to do your friends mums eulogy and not someone related or even him
Ok people, seriously. Which is worse? Making 20 people get up so that you can get out causing the person giving the eulogy to have to stop talking and wait for everyone to sit down again, or hiccuping? I'd be much more upset of someone paused the whole damn funeral to get up and leave.
Your friend is going through a rough time, be understanding of that also the polite thing would have been to leave the room once they started not wait until attention was drawn towards you negatively
You could be a little more considerate and excuse yourself to the lobby to allow the episode to pass.
Why the hell would you not have immediately excused yourself from the room?
Did you try holding your breath to stop the hiccups? Works for me. But yeah its not like they're voluntary. That sucks.
It sucks that you had the hiccups but you should have quietly excused yourself and left
