Today, my mum started yelling at me for leaving scissors on my desk, which my five year-old sister found and chopped all her hair off. She had a lump of hair as proof. After three minutes of her yelling, me crying and apologizing, she laughed and said she was joking. She'd just given my sister a haircut. FML

We don't know OP, they might cry pretty easily- I dunno about you guys, but my mom's yells never make me want to cry. Plus, the OP left her scissors out when she /probably/ wasn't supposed to. The prank might've been a way to get her to realize that, and mom might have stopped when she realized OP was crying instead of letting her bawl and then telling her it was a joke.
