Today, I went on a date with a very cute girl. It went well, until I accidentally called the blueberries in her dessert Oran Berries. I sheepishly explained that they're a berry from the Pokémon universe, at which point she excused herself, never to return. FML

If she doesn't respect pokémon she doesn't deserve respect.

You're better off this way. You need someone who can appreciate Pokemon!

I love Pokémon and everything, but if you play enough to make that mistake, then you should take a break from the game.

Never heard of slips of the tongue? Everyone gets them.

I don't blame her. If you're old enough to date, you're too old for a child's game.

I think she overreacted, but that IS strange. I have no issue with Pokemon - I'm a huge nerd myself, for other fandoms, and I wouldn't date someone who didn't at least respect that. But I'm certain someone confusing a blueberry for a fictional berry would weird me out. It suggests you spend WAY too much time playing games for an adult. Or that the lines betwee fantasy and reality are a bit blurred for you. It isn't a slip of the tongue necessarily. It could be indicative of serious manchild syndrome.

If she doesn't like Pokémon, she doesn't deserve a guy like you

Should of just said you called blueberries Oran berries as a child you ****** yourself on that on m8

Well if you're an adult it is a little weird....
