Today, and ever since our management implemented a time card 'clock in and out' system, it’s gone to hell. As long as the work was finished, the boss let us go at 3:30 so I could pick my kids up, but now I have to stay until at least 4:45 and rely on my 70 year-old mom to pick up and look after two hyperactive kids. FML

1. 70 isn't old. 2. Blame the slackers. We had this implemented at my work because you have those handful of people who need to ruin it for everyone else by not pulling their weight.

I am sickened to be a member of your generation. This is not the 1930s where 70 was actually old(aren't medical advancements wonderful) My 67 year old father watches 2 girls(4 and 6) for 3 hours a day while my sister(their mother) is at work. My grandmother worked until her 82nd birthday(40 hours a week behind a bar)

I know how you feel. While 70 isn't considered old it depends on the condition of the person.
