Today my mom told me she wasn't gonna pay for my trip (meant to be an Xmas present). I bought the tickets while on the phone with her verifying that the price was ok & that she was still on board. Wouldn't be going on this trip if she hadn't told me to. I'm a poor college student, in debt. FML....

Haven't opened the app in a few days and now there's at least 7 ancient FMLs reposted as new ones amongst the most recent 15 or so posts. WTF

Yeah, until they start garnishing your wages and you cant pay your bills.

So what, it’s just more debt. Travel is usually worth it.

So, unrelated to the FML, but you're like the only other "Kyrie" I've ever saw who had that name, short for "Kyrielle" in her case. Don't suppose you used to live in Ohio?

yep, means "lord have mercy" in greek

You never once said she said she’d pay for it. Maybe help, but not all.

maybe there was a misunderstanding ? and you thought she'd pay for it all. probably should have verified if she was gonna pay half or all, like triple check. my mom did that one Xmas to help me buy my car.

College kids try to get out of paying for everything that they owe. Sooo you deserve it. Ps. Don’t go out to eat if you cant tip.

Your writing indicates significant communication difficulties. Those misunderstandings happen to you a lot I’m guessing? If you live in a world where a trip involving airfare is an “extra present”, you’re not poor. You’re an entitled, spoiled brat.
