Today, I went to check my grade, which was posted for an essay for my comp 1 class. I got a zero. I was devastated only to find out I never actually clicked the submit document button. My grade dropped 20 points. FML

You deserved it 2 489

My school always gave a confirmation page when submitting and also sent an email confirmation. If I never got the email, I knew it wasn’t submitted and would submit again

OP, checking if a document was submitted is as essential as spell check. FYL tho, but it does pay to be careful. Also, did the format change overnight? No more "Today" at the beginning or "FML" at the end?

To be honest the rule of having the prefix and the suffix in the same way on every post is a bit petty. The FML at the end should always be there but having to begin them with "Today," makes it awkward to rearrange the story. That's how I've always thought about it anyway. And someone's misfortune shouldn't be hidden from other people because of a simple misunderstanding 😂

This happened to me for my Later English Lit class, but luckily I had actually submitted it and had the confirmation email and everything, it just never came through on my prof’s end. I would have failed the class.
