Today, my landlord informed me that from now on, she'd prefer if I paid my rent in cash each month. Apparently, I "look sketchy" and she didn't "ever want to deal with the hassle of a bounced check." FML

Freaking stereotypes... Just because I'm in a wheelchair doesn't mean I'm retarded. Fuggin idiots. FYL, stereotypes oppress us all.

There's a stereotype that people in wheelchairs are retarded? I've never heard that one before. But I don't hang with idiots.

This is where you handle the situation in a mature and diplomatic manner. Burn the bitch's house down.

Your landlord is an asshole and deserves to be treated as such. Honor the request and pay the rent at the very last minute every month with a big bag of assorted change. I know someone else already said pay it in pennies, but that's too easy. Assorted change has to seperated first, then counted. I bet the "pay in cash" request won't last very long.

Ah ha!! Damn landlords give her monopoly money mixed in with your rent!! :)

If you're going to pay in cash insist on a recipt

despite what she says pay with a check. it's a lot easier to claim someone lost cash but if it clears through your bank you have documentation

Pay in pennies, and don't roll them up >:D

Be careful. It could be her trying to make some cash, Then claim you never paid! So if she doesn't want a personal check get a money order. So if she says you didn't pay they can track to see who cashed the money order. Better to do it that way then just cash.

Most landlords here in Australia use internet banking. Cheques or cash both seem old fashioned for paying your rent.

I guess the banks are too busy cashing cheques to set up Bpay :(

Americans are also backwards in that they get paid wages and dole by cheque wtf

Give her a money order. There is no way to prove that she took the cash unless she gives you a signed receipt every time

Well good things that illegal. Here in Canada anyways
