Today, I was pulled over by the cops for a random breathalyzer test. They asked to see my license. I always keep my wallet in my car for situations like this. I received a $100 ticket because my mum apparently didn’t think it was a good idea to keep my wallet in the car. FML

It's actually not a good idea, but in this case it's unfortunate. Ps. They've invented these new things called pockets.

I leave my wallet in my car at night when it's parked at home. I'm a firemen/emt, and during night calls i don't have to look for my wallet in a dark house. but I check for it before I leave, your an idiot for leaving wo making sure you have a wallet.

dude, you dont carry your wallet with you when you drive?! so you probably drive without a license? ... just how stupid are you? ydi big Time!!

you only got a 100$ fine? damn Australia I live in the USA and they would of arrested me for driving without a license

why the **** would you go on a half hour rant about the laws in MD when that's got absolutly nothing to do with anything?

Well in QLD if you're a Provisional plater, you are required to have your license at all times. None of this "bring it to the police station later" crap. I don't know if P platers can talk it down. Mind you NSW also insist on some other silly laws for P platers. Like mandatory display of plates on the OUTSIDE of the car only. Clearly they have no faith in suction cup window P's. And keeping it in the car IS a bad idea. Broken window costs hundreds to replace. I don't know how you could anyway. I'm paranoid if my handbag doesn't have a billion things in it, my wallet, iPod and phone predominately. I take it everywhere with me. ESPECIALLY driving.

There's no such thing as a random breathalyzer test. BTs take almost an hour to do and you must agree to do one.

Oh really? How many Australian random breathalyser tests have you taken then? My record was three times in one night. Seriously, if you have no idea how the rest of the world works, and you have no clue that things in other places might not be identical to your tiny corner of it, you should think twice before calling bullshit on stuff on an international website.

YDI. Your own fault for not actually being sure you had your license.

Carry your purse with you at all times. Someone can break into your car and take it all. ALL. SSN, Licence, Credit Cards, Money, your Identity. ALL. And it's a real bitch to replace each of those items, let alone all. Once they ruin your credit, you're fceukd for seven years. You deserve it.

In Jersey, it's something like $100-200 for driving without a license if you have some points recently. If you don't, then the policeman can write you up and give you a small fine and you have to show a police station your license within something like 6 hours.

I don't think cops can just give you a random breathalyzer? unless they have reasonable doubt or some crap like that u had to of gave em a reason
