OP is a girl..
*Australia
it depends on the statute cited. if cited for operating a m/v without a valid license, it can be dropped because you verify your license. if cited for operating without license in posession, it won't be dropped because even though you have one you did not carry it. law requires it to be on posession at all times. depends ithe officer is cutting any slack or not
pulled over for a random breathalyzer? are those legal down under?! guess you don't need probable cause...
read the comments before putting one ! FYL for having a mummy who worry to muche
#34- thanks for pointing that out, however all comments are not always visible on my iPhone app. But still, in the US what you describe is illegal. there is no probable cause to warrant an arrest (meaning vehicle stop not physical arrest) only reasonable suspicion. I suppose traffic laws and constitutional rights are a little different. #40- I'm not going to read everyones comments before making my own. I glance through but don't read every reply especially when the initial comment sounded like a young kid jumping to conclusions, much like yourself.
In Australia they set up random breath tests along roads and they signal cars to stop so there's always, say 3, cars being breathalyzed at once. If they signal you to stop (everyone slows done just in case) you have to pull over. If you try to evade them they'll chase you... Then you're in big trouble!!
Well, adult or not, keeping your wallet in your car is really ******* stupid. Cars have windows. Windows can be broken. Hell, doing that crazy thing where you keep your wallet on a cord around your neck is better. I don't usually waltz around saying YDI, but in this case you really do.
have ur mom pay for it
It would get dropped in court, as it is illegal (at least in the state of MD) for a police department to take back a ticket. The only exceptions are an improper charge, or incorrect information. It is part of a checks and balances system so a politician can't go to the chief and say, "Can you take care of my buddy's ticket?" If you are truly driving without a license, the fine is steep and you're in deep shit, I would hope the officer knows the difference. If you fail to produce your license on demand, regardless that he may quarry the info through MILES (MD's traffic network) or NCIC, it is a $35 fine. I know nothing on Australia law, but that's how we roll in MD :)
Op, surely you must know of those that use forcible means to gain entry to locked vehicles. Yes, they are called thieves. And these thieves have a goal, and that's to steal valuables left in your car. Shocking! It generally takes a few seconds to grab your valuables, but it will probably take only a few seconds more for a thief to break in. With that said, please do not leave your wallet in your car! It's idiotic and it isn't very safe. Your mom was right. Hopefully you get all of this straightened out though.
i leave mine in the car but sometimes i get my money put it in my pockets or in my bra!;) try that!!!:)
you worried about hygiene with a dog licking your face!?!?!?? Think about where that tongue has been!

It's actually not a good idea, but in this case it's unfortunate. Ps. They've invented these new things called pockets.
get a new mom.
