That sucks, but honestly it all depends on tons of stuff that we aren't aware of. Like how /you/ treat them as opposed to their father, or maybe their dad is just away on business all the time. I noticed that when a parent is gone for long periods of time and then comes back the kids tend to "love" the parent that just came back more because he wasn't disciplining them while he was away.

It's perfectly normal for kids to favor their father for certain years of their lives, especially if they have healthy relationships with their parents. Chances are you are stricter and more expecting of them, which is how it should be.

Honestly guys, "is she a bad mother" of course not! Kids always say stuff like that, when mom is there dad is the best and when dad is there mom is the best.

When I was a kid, I was a total daddy's girl. I apparently repeatedly told my mum's friends I wished they were my mum, and we have a home video of me talking about how my mum isn't my friend, and looking angry and incredulous when my mum sweetly told me that she's my best friend always, because she's my mum. I'm 20 now. My mum is an amazing person, a wonderful friend, and I would do anything for her. Kids do, feel and say some weird shit sometimes. It's very likely not a reflection on you, hang in there.

man, you must be a great parent! I hated my parents when I was little, they were strict and everything. Man I thank them now! I'm sure you are a great parent! as long as you don't hit them or anything like that.
