Today, my piano teacher told me that she "forgot" to inform me that she volunteered me to play a 5-page song in a recital in front of 300 people that's happening next week. FML

You should get a few lessons from her without paying and then "forget" that you fired her.

Yeah, that's gonna be hard to pull of. But if you work hard and don't screw off, you could probably do it.

So? That's not a big deal. I've done that. You'll be fine.

You better get off this site and start practicing!!!

She obviously thinks you're good enough to do it, so I say go for it!

Or she thinks it would be funny to humiliate you in front of hundreds of people. Some teachers get into that more that some guys get into hot MILF action.

Since she volunteered your time, make sure you volunteer her next few paychecks to your "get hammered" fund. Good luck.

It's not that long, but a week is still a bit short IMO...

Also, piano teachers don't usually allow paper sheet music for the recital. So, OP will most likely have to memorize the whole song and then perform it; in less than a week.

Honestly, that's not that difficult. My piano school has us learn the piece (about 12-20 pages) in a week, and memorize it in two or so days. It's a rather simple method, repeat pairs of measures, that's all.

Is this FML? You dont have to go there. If she forgor to ask you and even inform you - just dont go there. It will be her FML.
