I don't know how it is in Canada, but in America, it's illegal to be fired for that. I would sue if I were u.

oh you "KNOW" that, huh? well better check your knowledge base, b/c you - just like most of the sue-happy idiots on here - are WRONG. if you're employed at will (no contract) you can be fired for ANY REASON or even NO REASON AT ALL. As long as your firing isn't based on race / gender / age / religion etc, it's legal.

Not true. Some states, like Idaho for example, are right to work states and you can be fired for anything your boss wants to fire you for. Besides sexism and what not. But ordering the wrong thing is reasonable grounds for firing if the boss feels like it.

actually it depends on what's stated in the contract. If it's stated that the employer reserves the right to fire for any reason at any time, then there is nothing that she could do about it. Otherwise, like I said, it's quite blatantly wrongful dismissal

Not sure whether it's true or not that this matter would be actionable in the U.S. But it sounds like either a pretext to me, e.g., there's another reason he doesn't like you that he doesn't want to say, or he's ****ing insane, in which case you are better off without him. And in the latter case, you might look back carefully at your conditions of employment. Could be that there is something you could catch him on legally, particularly in concert with this. A lawyer would be looking for a pattern of harassment of some such.

Did you make him one last cup and 'accidentally' swap the sugar with cyanide?

You shouldve got the right kind! >:O

If its part of your job (like starbucks) then maybe its understandable. However if your boss is just being a diva and is a spoiled brat, this is actually grounds for a lawsuit, you can file for wrongful termination.

YDI for not doing the one thing your boss asked you to do

well if you worked in a place that sells coffee, well then YOU DESERVE IT, crybaby.
