I'm sorry, but why does a mistake mean you won't get the job?
I guess a career does cost an eye after all.
Just be happy it didn't cost am Aston and a leg.
You tried
i should have proofread. it was supposed to be arm. PSA: Never drink and post. Some day maybe I'll.........who am I kidding I'll never learn.
I work for a jewelry studio, and eye protection is mandatory! Alligator tape for your fingers is encouraged too. Whenever you're working with a polishing motor or a flexshaft tool, you always have a chance to have things flying at your face at a pretty high velocity! Gotta protect yourself cuz jewelry is pretty hard to make with no eyeballs!
Are you going to look like a pirate now?! I'm so excited ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
The eye ring! You're a trend setter! Soon celebrities everywhere will be sporting the eye ring.
...and just like that, you pulled a Sonic and lost all your (access to) rings.
Maybe that will teach you to not steals the precious
when gollum goes into the real world
I'm sure things like that happen some times. You shouldnt assume you didnt get the job. You are, after all, just interning there. It's not like you were supposedly a master and this happened.

Eye protection is usually mandatory when using power machinery especially and including buffing wheels. If OP was told this and failed to do so, it is probably the end of that job and for good reason. Sorry OP, this should be a learning lesson for you. Perhaps the owner/manager will be understanding of OP's mistake. Almost everyone who uses buffer wheels and small objects has had an accident like that - But most without the injury of course. It's part of learning to use the tool properly. But the lapse in basic safety is a big problem.
One ring to rule them all. One ring to find them. One ring to make sure the employer never hires them.
