Today, I was getting ready to go to a surprise party I'd planned for my best friend. All was going well on the discretion part until I logged onto Facebook. I saw that my sister had set her status to, "At Natalie's surprise party! BBL!" Natalie had liked it. FML

However, she apparently found out about it and told me at the last minute she couldn't make it, probably to avoid being the center of attention. I'd already invited all of our mutual friends, so I had to awkwardly cancel the party. FML

Today, I went to a surprise birthday party for a friend. Everyone was hiding and waiting to yell "Surprise!" when I got a call from my mom. I was loudly discussing family gossip and trying to get my mom to hang up when the door opened. Everyone yelled "Surprise!" and then turned to stare at me. FML

YES. I hate how idiotic people (1) think everyone cares what they're doing/where they are EVERY SINGLE SECOND of the day, and (2) don't seem to realize that when you post something on fb, EVERYONE can see it. Including people who aren't supposed to. Which in this case includes the guest of honor, but could also include disgruntled people who weren't invited for some reason.

I totally understand. Planning a surprise party is very worrisome, you always have to think about people spilling the beans and making sure you yourself don't either. Always asking "Do they know?" "You didn't tell them, did you?". Then when its finally the day of the party and someone decides to be dumb, yeah its really frustrating. I agree not technically FML material because she'd have a good time, feel honored that everyone did this for her; everyone can laugh and make your sister feel bad :) Its all good
