It is their part of job to ask customers whether they want extra large fries/burger/whatever at fast food outlets. Just because someone is really concious about their weight/looks doesn't mean they can just abuse people that serve them. Even if such a worker was rude, then screaming and cursing them out in return should be still out of option - there is a humanitarian way of dealing with such things and it's called 'a complaint'. Taking it out on people who are in such a lame position (it's widely known how underpaid and mistreated they often are) is pointless and won't change anything. OP, if I were you, I would call for your manager/supervisor. No matter where you work, verbal/physical abuse against employees is equally illegal to an abuse towards a customer. Fight for your right to be able to work and still retain your dignity.

Actually, as a fast food worker, I know we are required to ask every customer if they require napkins. Also, we are to upsell wherever possible, so to every customer who doesnt specify what size meal, we are required to ask if that was a large meal. But it looks like, according to the way the fml was worded, that the customer ordered LARGE fries, and OP was repeating the order to double check it was correct.

I have quite a good sense of humour, but this was too far for OP's sake considering they were abused and brought to tears over a similar situation. I saw that it was sarcasm (especially as it didnt match the profile picture) but obviously the downvoters (me included) thought this was a step way too far.
