Don't worry. My mom told me that while she was in labor with me my Dad was off talking to a bunch of people and totally calm and hanging low while she was screaming in agony! But still happily married and they have me!

Can everyone calm the **** down! Maybe he wanted her to get some rest after that, or maybe wanted her to chill for a bit after having a baby. And just because he says a few nice things to another woman doesn't make him an asshole. You're just generalizing men and you should be less of a control freak for bitching about it. Considering you don't know the facts, maybe you should calm down? She was not generalizing men, she specified her own husband's faults. And all of us would be just as upset if the husband had to witness the wife chatting up her doctor. So get off your high horse. Besides, after going through all that pain, I can't imagine not wanting to at least hold my boyfriend's hand. And he should have been more concerned with his wife and child's wellbeing than chatting up another woman given the situation we were told.
