You're lucky. A lot of places won't pay you for the time you missed. You would have either had to use personal time or make up the hours.
it's called being salaried, you work more or less and you get paid the same. obviously depends on performance, if I can do same work in 6 hrs vs 8 hrs bonus to me. if it takes me 10 hours to do 8 hrs work minus for me.
Not gonna lie I would pretend the power never came back on and ran out quickly. Lol
Almost. You almost made it to freedom. x'D
You should have acted like you didn't notice it.
Next time, just keep going like it didn't even happen.
You should've ran... Its faster.
Were they going to pay you for the work you missed? If not, be grateful you can go back to work and make more money. If they were still going to pay you, well, yeah it sucks that you don't get more free time, but you do have a job to do. A lot of people don't.
I don't get it. Am I supposed to feel bad for you because you had to have a regular day at work? Or was it the inconvenience of having ten less minutes of your work day? Or was it that you almost had to drive home in the strong storm? None of these things seem like "FML" material.
Just in time..., for lunch ?

At least your check won't be 5 hrs short. It's hard to get enough hours to make ends meet these days.
