Ha, my mom said the same thing to me when I was the only one who cleans out of all her children. I cleaned all day and calls me useless while she fawns at my brother for making a show of fake-cleaning. She even threw a glass bottle at me for telling her wait when she asked me to clean the living room, grumbling that I'm useless and lazy. The reason I told her to wait was because I was cleaning the kitchen. After that I decided to be as lazy as she always say I am. If she's going to complain no matter how hard I work, then why work hard at all? Ever since then, my life became less stressful. She still complains, especially to our relatives. So I just tell them about the glass throwing incident and she shuts up for months and tries to bribe me for my affections from time to time. Check if this strategy works OP. I have a feeling that you're Asian like me.
