Today, while covering a colleague's shift, a girl at work called in sick with the sniffles, and when she couldn't find anyone to cover for her, she refused to come in. Last week I was forced to come in to work with severe pain, and was rushed to the ER with appendicitis after my shift. FML

Why are you back at work only one week after a fairly major surgery? Particularly one that leaves you immune compromised for a bit... Which be a reason to be less annoyed by it, since the "sniffles" tend to come with a cough- which I imagine would be an amazingly fun thing to deal with while you are still somewhat cut open.

Why are you back at work only one week after a fairly major surgery? Particularly one that leaves you immune compromised for a bit... Which be a reason to be less annoyed by it, since the "sniffles" tend to come with a cough- which I imagine would be an amazingly fun thing to deal with while you are still somewhat cut open.

Today, at the doctor's, I dropped my pants and the attractive nurse assured me it was the biggest one she had ever seen. Unfortunately, she wasn't referring to my penis, she was, in fact referring to the huge haemorrhoid hanging out of my asshole. FML

Today, on the third day of my first holiday ever, I still have food in my stomach from the first night. Yesterday I tried to walk up the beach and ended up crying in immense pain. I guess a holiday wasn't such a great idea after being diagnosed with gastroparesis a couple of weeks ago. FML

Today, after six months of dating, my girlfriend decided to break up with me because my "obsession" of being on the computer and playing games all the time was cutting into "our time". She then told me to "get a life" and never wanted to see me again. She told me all of this on WoW. FML

Today, in art class, our instructor called me up to the front to model for a drawing. I agreed to pose because it was nice to be called on, and I needed a self-esteem boost. He then thanked me, saying it's a great exercise for the class to draw such strange proportions. FML

Today, my husband is so emotionally disconnected from fatherhood, he has yet to call our son by his name and instead just refers to him as 'It' or 'That' and occasionally just 'Him'. Sometimes he’ll even ignore him crying and just leave the room because the noise annoys him. FML

Today, as I'm traditional, this that means I learned the bride's parents pay for wedding, the groom's parents pay for the honeymoon. My in-laws didn't pay for a honeymoon. Fine - they disappointed me, I'll disappoint them with no grandchildren. No honeymoon, no grandchildren. FML
