Today, my sister, who moved in with me, after a failed marriage and lives effectively bill free (AND owns a horse) - applied for her holiday visa to the States so she can go to a wedding with a guy she met on Tinder (2 dates to confirm he's not a psycho). Parents say I'm wrong for saying no. FML

What did you say no to? Her moving in with you? Going with her? Paying for it? She obviously doesn't need your permission to go if she's an adult woman and paying for it herself.

Make them take responsibility for your sister. If they're happy for her to go, they shouldn't be giving you the burden of dealing with the aftermath if it all goes wrong.

Today, I went on a date with a seemingly nice guy I met online. He was drunk when I got there. Within the first 10 minutes, he had told me I was "like Hitler but with boobs", and I was "offensive to the ninja community." Then he said I just wasn't all he had hoped for and left. FML

Today, I was on the webcam with my boyfriend. I could see that he was on the couch, and alone, so I took off my shirt and smiled, waiting to see his reaction. He smiled at me but then kept looking in another direction. I playfully asked "What's so distracting?" His answer: "History Channel". FML

Today, I gave birth to my firstborn child. Somehow, my mom and mother-in-law made their way to the delivery room, and walked in mid-push. While they were escorted out, I overheard my mother-in-law asking the nurse how her son, my husband, was holding up. FML

Today, while on the phone with my boyfriend, I really needed to poop. Badly. He was in the middle of telling a story, so I figured I could get away with muting the phone while on the toilet. Halfway through, he suddenly went silent. I forgot to mute the phone. FML

Today, I learned that while I respectfully distanced myself from my female friends in the last two years of dating my girlfriend, as per her request, she has been making loads of new male friends on her "backup Snapchat."
