Today, I had a job interview for my dream job. Then I got a call saying it was cancelled because of a policy change that was issued this morning. I applied over a month ago. FML

That’s unfortunate, but would you rather have landed the job only to have the policy change wipe it out a few weeks or months later?

I recommended a former coworker a to apply at my work and she was hired. a week later they cut a bunch of jobs including hers

Just because you applied a while ago doesn’t mean a policy change will not apply as it could have been a major change affecting existing staff members employment as well. Dumbass.

I opened the fridge door slowly, but managed to knock over a stack of Tupperware boxes. The crash was so loud it could’ve woken the dead. My roommate appeared in the doorway, not amused. FML
