I'm a girl and (even though I'm not exactly eligible for marriage) I see no point in weddings. They cost so much money, and you have to dress in fancy clothing and eat politely and kiss in front of a whole crowd while the crowd is staring like a hawk at you. All the while you can just save that money and sign a marriage certificate and not plummet into debt the day you're getting married. The bride would also have to buy an expensive wedding dress that she'd only wear once. Not to mention that all of your family on both sides will be there and neither family will most likely like the significant other. Weddings are a waste.
