Today, I've been receiving a lot of calls from my telephone company, offering combo packages with internet, Netflix, Disney+ and whatever the fuck. We had previously resigned from their services, because the company never had the intention of fixing an outage that was caused BY THE SAME COMPANY. FML

Today, after two weeks with no internet, we had a technician repair our service at our apartment. An hour later, one of my neighbors at the same complex yelled at us because the same technician disconnected her service by mistake. FML

Today, I found out that it is possible for someone else to cancel my Internet, TV and phone services in two days. However it'll take me 5 days, after 6 hours on the phone, to get it back. FML

Today, I called complaints for my internet provider because, again, it's slowed to a crawl that would make dial-up laugh. They said that I live in a remote area, so maintenance is difficult. When I pointed out I only live ten minutes from the nearest city, they responded by saying they're my only option, so tough. FML

Today, I received an almost $400 bill for Internet services I don't even have. When I called and talk to them they told me I still owe them $77 because I didn't catch it within 3 months. FML

Today, I was unable to connect to the Internet. After calling support, I was informed that due to a cut cable, the whole country will have no service from that provider for some time. The. Whole. Country. FML

Bundled

Today, I cancelled all my streaming subscriptions and signed up for a “bundle deal” to save money. Turns out the deal was just all my old subscriptions repackaged under a new name. I’m still paying the same price, but now with ads. FML

Today, I finally got my phone and internet services reinstated after a billing mishap. During the week that I was without service, I had 3 requests for interviews and a position offer. None of those opportunities are still available. FML

Today, I called my wife to tell her I finally found a job after 6 months. A man answered the phone claiming to be the cable guy. We cut our cable off when I was laid off 6 months ago. FML

Today, my parents were surprised when I told them that changing the internet and cable service would also cut themselves off from the internet service's email. Which they have everything connected too. I thought about this when they told me they were saving $200 on switching. They apparently did not. FML

Man I remember a few years ago I got rid of Comcast because they sucked. I don’t remember specifics, but I think my rate doubled or something after a promotion was over. I begged and pleaded with customer service to find a way to lower my bill and they were like “haha **** you no” because their customer service reps were just all uncaring, soulless dicks. So I canceled. Comcast proceeded to bombard me with mail, calls, and even an at-home solicitor, begging me to return and offering me these amazing rates. I was like “haha **** you no.” Like really they couldn’t cut me a deal on my cable, but spent ALL this money and resources on getting me back after they forced me to cancel? I was like this is all bullshit and your business model just really sucks and you could at least pretend to care about your existing customers, you heartless bastards. I still don’t have cable today. Yeah I “cut the cord” because I’m just some whiney millennial, right? Sorry no you’re just a dick and I’m not putting up with your bullshit. Sorry this turned into a rant lol. **** cable. Well, **** corporate greed and stupidity that’s what it all boils down to.
