Hey man, it sucks but in reality you dodged a bullet. Once your married ot should be you two against the world and if she can't handle her familys disapproval then had she gone along with it she would always be her family's mouth piece dragging you down.

Practically speaking, your marriage will be a lot weaker without family approval. Next time, try to meet a girl's family early on to see if they have a problem with you. Reduces the time you'd waste.
