Today, I told my boyfriend, "We need to talk." He said, "I know". So we met after school, and he said he was OK with me breaking up with him, that he wasn't that into me either. He said all that before I could tell him that my parents wanted to meet him. FML

yeah, we need to talk is usually followed by either "we need to break up," or "I'm pregnat." And that second one usually leads to that first one.

Man, he probably had no intention of breaking up with you until you said "we need to talk." It probably made him think you were about to break up with him, and he did it first to not feel rejected. Don't EVER use that line.

I agree with #49, the fact that he said it so fast means he probably didn't want to break up with you but assumed you were about to break up with him and then said that so he wouldn't feel like a loser when you dumped him. If you're both in high school, multiply the probability of this theory being true by 5.
