If you’re not prepared to raise the child, it’s better off being adopted.
Did any of those judgy people offer to adopt? Why didn't a married relative step up? You did well, dear. Your child will have a better future because of your good judgement and big heart.
Sometimes being a genuinely responsible parent means acknowledging and accepting that you would be a terrible parent and then doing what is best for the child. 🫂 If no one in the family or friend group stepped up to take the child in when you admitted that you couldn't cope, then that's on them, not you. You did the best thing you could for the child and they don't get an opinion that counts if they refused to help. The thing is, if they HAD all stepped up to help you, you MAY have been able to cope enough to keep the baby, but they didn't and left you with this choice. So who's fault is it really? Get therapy and move on when you are ready to.
