Today, my husband and I have been fighting because I gave our son his college fund, even though he got a full-ride scholarship. My husband didn't think it was necessary and wanted to use it for other things. FML

You gave a young person a huge pile of money? That was unwise. You should have kept it invested and let the kid grow into adulthood, then use it for a house down payment (or the whole house!) or for little things here and there. I bet dollars to doughnuts he'll host epic parties with that money, then it's gone.

Good job, let's hope he invests it himself or he will come crawling back when he's broke coz "Mommy gave me a lot of money, maybe I can get more."
