Well if you had him as a friend on facebook and he had a droid/android, it would have taken your profile picture and number and save it into his address book. Happened to me before, too.

If you have your phone number on Facebook the iPhone and other smart phones sync a persons Facebook with their contacts on their phone. It even downloads your current profile pic as well. Mind you this only applies if you're already his friend on Facebook

If he has a smart phone and is connected to Facebook or some other social networking sight, it's possible that you are "friends" with him on there which will have all "friends" phone numbers put onto his phone with a picture
