Today, my 20-year-old son's external hard-drive stopped working. He's crying on my shoulder now, not because of the movies, porn, work, or music he probably lost, but because of the now irretrievable complete series of Digimon that he'd collected. FML

a cartoon that's like pokemon but not. it's what you watch Saturday morning while eating a bowl of cereal

I remember the first time I saw that show. I was upset that Pokemon wasn't on then I noticed this new cartoon and it was love at first site. I'd be upset too if a ENTIRE series that I can not get back was gone in less time then it took to obtain it. See if it can get fixed if not, see if there's a way to get a hold of the series. I'm not sure if it ever made it to DVD I remember it on VHS. Doesn't hurt to look.

The first series definitely made it to DVD as did the compilation movie I think...all the series should be available online though.

I have a lot of digimon...I'm pretty sure it's still downloadable. He needs to work on getting what was important back (digimon or work) not crying - that won't help anyone.

Depending on why it's dead either pull the had from the casing and install it directly, use data recovery software, replace board on the hdd with one from the EXACT SAME MODEL, or stick it in a seals bag in the freezer for a while (ensure there is no chance of condensation) one of those will fix the issue 90% of the time, oh and perhaps he has now learned the value of backups

The same thing happened to me this week, I'm now on my iPod. I cried for 2 hours, Why? I lost all my Sims families.

Theme song stuck in head. Digimon Digitise!!!
