snooping? he has every right to know what his DAUGHTER is up too. maybe you should all learn. this world is raising to many ******.
If parents raised their children properly, they wouldn't have to check their children's internet history to keep them from being whorish. What you're talking about is a parenting fail, sure, but an entirely different kind of parenting fail. If you're checking your kid's internet history in an attempt to find out if you have to intervene whorish behaviors, you're way too late. Closing the barn door long after the horse is gone.
At least she wasnt looking at like meatspin and gay ****
are you kidding? I'm 15 years old too, and I kind of wish I had a dad like that. I never really see my father. And he does live at home. He always leaves the house really early in the morning and comes back really late at night. He's a workaholic. He owns an investment banking company and TV channel and we works so much. Even if he's home, he's working. I would kill for a father daughter day. My dad is a wonderful dad, but he's not so much of a dad ever since all the business. (No, he doesn't cheat. My mom's two best friends work for him and he's legitimately at the office 24-7.) It's like I don't even have a dad. We barely have a relationship, and even if we have the chance to talk, it's so awkward because there's nothing to talk about. I guess it seems like a 15 year old would never want to spend time with their dad, but I guess you never really appreciate what you have until you know how good you have it. OP, I hope your daughter appreciates you. I wish my dad would arrange father/daughter day like that. FYL, that really does suck. Your daughter and I should switch places for a week, haha.
Okay, on the one hand, FYL because your daughter sounds rude and inconsiderate. No matter what, a girl should always be thankful she has a father, unless of course you're abusive, which does not seem the case here. On the other hand, YkindaDI because you looked through her history. But I'm leaning more toward FYL.
This is probably in the top 10 biggest YDIs on this site. 1. YDI for planning a father-daughter day that's obviously so boring--if she went to google for this you're probably oblivious to what she likes 2. YDI for checking her internet history--what did she do to deserve that? It would be different if you smelled pot in her room and she denied it and then you checked her internet history to see if she was talking about it or something. 3. YDI for complaining that that's all you found. Honestly, parents like you make me so mad.
1) Maybe the father-daughter day that was planned wasn't boring, but the daughter is just a brat who thinks it's lame to spend time with her parents 2) He was probably just trying to find out what his daughter was INTERESTED in so they could have something to talk about, as it seems like his daughter doesn't open up her interests to him 3) He wasn't complaining about that being ALL he found, he was DISAPPOINTED that his daughter is a brat.
Agree with DameGreyWolf. Even though he wrote a novel :)
YDI. Chances are if you weren't the kind of person that feels the need to snoop through his daughter's history instead of properly talking to her, she wouldn't be so inclined to excuse herself away from you.
YDI for being snoopy. I'm a teen myself and I wouldn't like it very much if my dad did this to me. On the other hand, FYL because of what she was doing.
Anyone who says he deserves it for snooping are just dumb little *****. A 15 y/o is NOT an adult no matter how grown up you teenagers think you are. It's the kids who have parents who actually care that grow up to be successful, be GRATEFUL. Go ahead and demand your privacy but don't come complaining to everyone else in 10 years about your own fml on how your life sucks because you thought you were too smart for everyone including your father. Don't forget to ask if you want fries with that bit of self importance too.

YDI for snooping. Give her some space -- she's growing up. ...On the other hand, though, FYL because of what you found.
More like FHL for having you snoop through her history. I bet you've got plenty of stuff you wouldn't want her to see.
