Today, I was on the phone with my friend, when my four year old nephew came in, asking who I was talking to. I told him it was Santa Claus, so he insisted on talking to him. I handed over the phone and I hear, "Santa is fake. Grow up." I spent the next two hours with a screaming child proving Santa exists. FML

You're an idiot. Why did you lie about who you were on the phone to? You should have said you were talking to a friend.

Umm christmas wasn't even started by christians #63 I don't really say FYL you shouldn't of said you were talking to santa but F his *young*life for being crushed by your dick friend.

Your friend is a bitch. Tell her no one loves her, and grow up. It's probably true.

Your friend is kind of an asshole, but you are too because you felt the need to lie to a child. So I guess it's a good match.

YDI for lying to your son about who you were talking to on the phone. It wouldn't have been a big deal if you just said, "a friend." But FYL because your friend is a real dick. It's called childhood fun, and who cares if it isn't real? Just because you have to be an uptight miserable asshole doesn't mean you have to spoil it for everyone else.

I'm not gonna say FYL or YDI, cause u should not of lied to your nephew, but ur friend is a dick, he should of known he was little.

To anyone saying "your kid" - read again. OP says it's her nephew. Which means, as someone said above, that it's not her call to tell the kid Santa doesn't exist. And like #56 said, it's a great way to make kids behave. That's probably why she said she was talking to Santa. I've seen kids who were acting up until their mom got out her phone and said "I'm calling Santa!" She then proceeded to tell "Santa" that the kids were misbehaving, and to tell the kids that Santa said they have to behave if they want presents. Boy, did they shape up quick.

Phillyfox: it's the OPs NEPHEW, not her son. Suaveneanderthal: stfu OP: You really shouldn't have lied to your nephew, but your friend shouldn't have said that either.
