Today, my mother's beloved cat died and we thought it would be nice to bury it in the back yard. I came home from work and while walking to the door saw that the cat had been dug up and partially eaten by the local raccoons and strays. FML

Today, my dog died. I spent ages digging him a grave and buried him in the garden so that my dad wouldn't have to deal with the stress when he got home from work. When my dad got home he told me that he had wanted the dog to be cremated. I have just had to dig up my dog's body. FML

Today, I found a pile of animal skeletons scattered in my backyard. It appears that last night, mother nature decided to rain so hard, that the graves of my childhood pets floated back up to the top, and covered half of my field. I now have to pick all of it up before my dog sees them. FML

Today, I was supposed to bury my childhood dog at my mother's friend's place. I had to wake up at 5 a.m., spent two hours on the bus to be there in time, only for him to tell me that he'd actually buried my dog yesterday. FML

Cremation is the way to go or as some stated earlier an acid bath but that can be tricky. However if you absolutely intend on burying him again go at least 6 feet deep then cover the carcass with hydrated lime to help mask the smell. I'm sorry for the loss of your equine friend.

First time was profile pics, this lesson will be Obvious Sarcasm: Kiddo, if you see a comment, any comment, that seems out of place, beyond stupid, or rudely counter to all logic, it's better to presume that the person isn't mentally challenged and meant it to be a real eye-rolling groaner. If you're not sure, don't answer: just wait and watch to see who burns the fool alive. For the most part, treat this as a running sitcom: sometimes it's bad, sometimes it amusing, but overall, it's just to entertain each other. :) Better luck next time! ;)

ive had this happen to me too. put lime over the hole. takes the sent of the body away so the coyotes cant smell it.

117 - *slow clap scene* well done. Not too mean and it gets the poit across. Oh and OP I simple agree with everyone else. If you bury it 6 feet deep the odor won't reach the air and I've never heard about putting rocks on top of the soil but it won't hurt to try. Sorry about your horse OP
