Wake up. Education jobs, even in high tech, are always low paying.
yep. worked at the same place for 4 years, I would train new people and make less than them
Im on my Ipod Touch so your gender and location doesnt show! Thus I say: if your a female, though Obama signed a bill making this illegal, still women are often paid less than their male counterparts.
I've been at my current job for 4 years now, and every single person I train makes more than me. It is not because they are better educated, it is because as minimum wage goes up, the base pay goes up, and the employees that already worked there dont get any extra. Four years of raises and new hires make more. That's life.
I actually ended up on the other end of this deal a few weeks ago when I got my current job at UT. My interviewer was a student, who receives the student pay rate of $6.50/hr. I go to the community college down the street so I get paid $11/hr. I haven't confirmed if my pay will drop when I transfer next year.
Don't do the job then.

I'm a grad student. Being unemployed makes more than me. Such is life. Once you graduate, you'll make more than them. Hopefully. After you pay back those loans of course.
It'll get better when you get your degree. But in the mean time, FYL.
