Today, I finally told my father that I was picked on at college all this year over my hearing disability. When I told him one of the jokes they made about me, he burst out into an uncontrollable fit of laughter. FML

Today, I finally stood up for myself and beat the crap out of a bully at school, as my father told me to do. The kid and I were called to the principal's office, along with our parents. Inside my father's smirk faded when he saw that the kid's mom was his boss. FML

Today, my dad was driving me to college. I'd cracked a joke about how old people like him shouldn't be allowed to drive, and I guess he took it personally, what with him speeding straight up to the parking lot wall, and only braking after I started shrieking in terror. FML

I'm sorry! I know the feeling! I have hearing loss and my family picks on me about it and I used to get bullied. You just have to learn to get back at them with something witty or be the bigger person. No one has any right to make fun of a disability.

I have a hearing loss as well due to the chicken pox getting into my right ear and getting infected. I have worn a hearing aid since I was 10.

What the ****? That's terrible! I'm sorry OP. You don't deserve any of that. Don't let anything that anyone said get to you. I know how much some comments and jokes can hurt. Just remember that there's nothing "wrong" with you. God made you YOU. Just count your blessings. Everyone has something that challenges them in life. Keep your chin up. :)
